Why is the London Stadium turning in to the London Palladium?
A player gets subbed off - Boooooo
A player comes on - Booooooo
A player gets man of the match - Boooooo

It's not even the fucking pants season yet.

How long will it be before we score a goal and people boo?

Mind you I can understand it with Ayew - Boooooooo

I prefer it when mugs completely and utterly make it up that people are rewriting history on this subject.

I have never seen anyone attempt to do this, yet for some reason people keep claiming it happens.

In fact there are plenty of people acknowledging Upton Park had it's moments.

Given that you love it so much, one would assume you have a catalogue of evidence pointing where people are trying to claim no one ever did anything wrong at Upton Park?

Modern football fans are absolutely fucking shit

One dick was booing Tore in the warm up last year, think he'd only played twice by then.

Is the OS going on tour?

Get Brady to dress up as the Wicked Witch and parade on the pitch at the Christmas Eve game and make a proper panto of it. Booooooooooo.

Wait for their centre back to knock in a far post header from a dead ball - he's behind youuuuuu.

I always like this rewriting of history where no one ever booed or sang what a load of rubbish at Upton Park.

I never boo the team but think the earliest groan/boo came after we had misplaced about 30 passes and then took a free kick by passing sideways and then back to the keeper who kicked it to about where the free kick was taken from.

Absolutely, players have been slaughtered for years if not up to it.

i don't have a problem at all if the players are booed off at ht or ft, you even read quotes from managers and players who say they don't have a problem with it if it was deserved. End of the day you have the right to let them know what you think if the performance was shit and there aren't many other ways of doing it.

What I don't like is booing during play and for subs. In other words, voice your opinion at the end, not during, as that doesn't help anyone.

We used to call it 'The Scott Parker Man of the Match Award'

Re: Why is the London Stadium turning in to the London Palladium?
Well back in the day we only booed the opposition. It was not unusual though, when things were not going well, for the fans to slow hand clap the team.

Did we boo our own players in the 80s? I don't remember it happening. Football started going shit in the 90s and it just gets worse.

Re: Why is the London Stadium turning in to the London Palladium?
We had booing Upton park against our own players. Even on time every time one player touched the ball they would boo.

So a group starting cheering instead over the boo. By then end of the game we were all cheering his every touch.

Now not sure if it was ironic cheering but it was funny at the time

It might have been Christian Daley. The one with the curly hair..

Even the female interviewer on MOTD was taking the piss out of that, ornchurch, I’d ignore the precious booers on here

Re: Why is the London Stadium turning in to the London Palladium?
It seems like "No. 8 Scott Parker" was MoM about 50 games on the trot at Upton Park and it became a joke and there was a lot of piss taking but no booing.

The ones that get me are like Suffering said, when the defender/midfielder is facing the goalie and passes the ball back to retain possession. Boooooooooo, how dare we pass back to the keeper?

Then when we play the long ball upfield. Boooooooooo, why are we just knocking it forward?

When it is announced though it raises a laugh almost every time.

It's always bugged me that they announce the MoM when the game is still going on. Infuriates me even.

Why do it? Especially when we're having a mare and it's just going to be who the sponsors want to meet afterwards as you say.

Do it at the final whistle FFS.

Re: Why is the London Stadium turning in to the London Palladium?
I remember a thread about booing here over 10 years ago. The booers must have known we woupd win the Olympic bid, built a stadium that West Ham would move into after. Fair play chaps

Carroll got MOTM because whoever was sponsoring the match wanted to meet him afterwards.

Re: Why is the London Stadium turning in to the London Palladium?
How did Carroll get that MOM? That was Zabaleta's award by a country mile for me.

Its not Carroll's fault that he got the MOM or that he wasn't subbed but Bilic needs to hear that he is making the wrong decisions.

AC must have some seriously incriminating photos of a variety of people in the club at present

booing subs is nothing new

heck booing final whistles in wins was seen in the past

Re: Why is the London Stadium turning in to the London Palladium?
We have always been 2 bob

Booing when we win, given the booing started with the substitutions... who won us the match...

I wouldn’t have cupped my ear, the wanker sign all round would suffice.

1996 football fans and football got shit.
